MATECH was founded by Marc van de Wijdeven, after 10 years working experience in the metals recycling industry.
1999
New office
MATECH was founded (Limited company) and moved to a new rented office in Helmond.
2000
Sale of the first new Taurus shear
Sale of the first new TAURUS pre-compression shear in the Netherlands.
The introduction of the MiniSort I during the BIR convention in Oslo/Norway.
2002
TAURUS in Belgium
Sale of the first TAURUS pre-compression shear in Belgium.
2003
New offices in Mierlo
Purchase of the new offices in de Kerkstraat in Mierlo.

MiniSort II
The introduction of the MiniSort II.
2005
Co-operation with Machinefabriek
Start of co-operation with Machinefabriek van de Weert from Helmond for the development of recycling machinery and all service and installation activities.
2006
Esther Cappers joins the team
Esther Cappers joins MATECH as office manager. Introduction of the MiniStrip and the MaxiStrip. Record turnover and profit.
2007
New team member & bigger head office
Björn Giesbers joins MATECH as partner and managing director. Introduction of the new MiniSort Scrap Pro OES analyzer during the BIR convention in Monaco.
Introduction of a new range of Alligator Shears, the MultiShear. Purchase of a new international head office with large storage facilities in Mierlo. Introduction of a new range of truck and excavator grabs.
Introduction of the distribution of the S1 TRACER TurboSD and the S1 SORTER XRF metals analyzers. Active market promotion of the GUIDETTI cable granulators.
MATECH opens own sales and service office in Germany together with MSP GmbH.

2010
Best year ever in terms of turnover and profit. MATECH expands with two new employees in the sales department, Kirsten Schuurman and Roland van Oosterhout. Best European sales distributor of the BRUKER handheld XRF metal analyzers. Introduction of the MATECH-MiniSort AlMax, a handheld OES metal analyzer especially for the Aluminium Industry. Delivery and installation of the first all new GUIDETTI W.I.R.E. cable granulators.

Intensive collaboration with Oxford Instruments
Start intensive collaboration with Oxford Instruments for the sales and marketing of portable LIBS and XRF analysis tools in the metal recycling market. Start active sales of MATECH water separation tables to extract copper from plastic granules.
2013
15th anniversary of MATECH
Delivery of two Taurus scrap shears in the Netherlands, the record year for sales of the number of metal analysis tools in Europe. Start of a marketing department with a new strategy. Start selling Lukas, mobile cable cutters. 15th anniversary of MATECH.
2014
Introducing the new logo and the new corporate identity of MATECH
Introducing the new logo and the new corporate identity of MATECH. Launch of the new MATECH website. Introduction of the TIGER 300, a newly developed electric motor recycling machine. MATECH welcomes Minelli from Italy as our supplier of grabs, shears and other mobile crane equipment pieces.
2015
Wire Pro 2000
In March 2016, a Wire Pro 2000 from supplier Guidetti will be delivered to the Stolwerk Company in Breda. To this day a perfectly working machine, partly by the customer himself and good maintenance.
2016
New Vulcan
In the spring of 2017 Hitachi (bought over Oxford) introduced the new Vulcan.
Saskia Hermens joins MATECH to provide reinforcement for the administration.
Again a record of the number of metal analysis tools sold.
2017
Recycling 2018
MATECH is again at the Recycling Fair in Gorinchem. From 20 to 22 November we can be found, and are happy to help!
New Employee Remco van de Vossenberg has been working at MATECH since August and will strengthen the Sales Office.

NEW EMPLOYEES!
Yvonne Veeloo-Wilms and Thorsten Eggers strengthen the MATECH team. Yvonne as back office employee Sales and Service and Thorsten as Sales employee for the German market.
